4 day Working in Hostile Environments (NGO’s)

Our 4 day Working Hostile Environments (NGO’s) has been specifically designed to cover all of the relative subjects that relate to NGO personnel operating globally. Whether it be in a humanitarian, disaster or war zone situation, various risks arise from working in these hostile and challenging environments.

TYR Solutions 4 day course will cover both security and medical related subjects to ensure that your staff are fully aware and trained for the environments they may operate in. We understand the meaning of equality, neutrality and impartiality within this sector and have specifically design such a course to ensure the course is specific to the NGO community.

Security lessons will consist of  planning, risk assessments, site security, crisis management, kidnap, detainment, conflict management, cash security and bribery & corruption to name a few. Our medical portion of the course will teach the student basic first aid to begin with, then bringing these skills to a higher level to deal with trauma related injuries. After training, students will be able to deal with trauma related injuries in a calm and professional manner. In addition, students will learn about the prevention of disease and environmental hazards to increase their knowledge of operating in these environments from a medical perspective.

At the end of the course, students will be put through a series of scenarios that are based on real life situations that have occurred in order to test all of the skills learnt over the four days.

The course can be run at any one of our training areas in the UK, Scotland, or Europe , however if you prefer we can arrange it to suit your requirements at a location of your choice.
